We are a collective of artists, farmers, and organizers in Barrio Centro in Tucson. We reclaim our cultural roots and amplify them through sustainability, art, and rebellion to heal and empower our neighborhood. Since 2012, we've installed gardens and rain water harvesting tanks in many of our neighbors' backyards. We co-host an annual neighborhood fiesta. And for the past 2 years, we have been re-adapting our old elementary school - which was vacant for 13 years - into a farm and community garden. Before that, there weren't a lot of resources in our area, and our families deal with food insecurity, economic and environmental issues.

At the MidTown Farm, we host workshops, art events, grow food, raise goats and chickens, and teach and learn from each other. We have built a greenhouse, chicken coop, goats enclosure, play area, and painted murals at our 9.5 acre site and around our city. We have created a hub for outreach to our neighbors, and are building a safer, healthier, more resilient community.

Now more than ever, we find ourselves as an essential organization for distributing food, supplies, and information to our under-served community. We have changed a lot of our daily operations around new health guidelines and are evolving our response to our community's changing needs every day. Your support helps us continue to do this work!
