Little Black Dress 2025

All Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI) proceeds will be used to further the mission of the Junior League of Albany GA. Funds raised during the LBDI 2025  will support an inclusive playground at Chehaw Park and Phoebe's Children's Miracle Network. Part of the Junior League of Albany GA’s contributions will fund a mural painted outside of the new NICU at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. All donations are tax-deductible.

Chehaw Park

The Junior League of Albany, Georgia is partnering with Chehaw Park in order to build a new play park for the Albany community to enjoy. The Junior League will be specifically focusing on building an inclusive play park for all children, including those with disabilities, to use.

Chehaw Park boasts a rich history, a distinctive environment, a talented and varied team, robust support from the city, an exceptional support organization, and a forward-looking vision. This vision is rooted in the core principles of conservation, education, and preservation that Cheehaw was established upon. Chehaw is committed to safeguarding endangered species and their habitats. Responsible zoological institutions play a vital role in conservation through research and education, offering visitors the chance to form personal bonds with animals. By nurturing these connections, Cheehaw aims to help society foster a deeper appreciation for wildlife in their natural environments. Chehaw is motivated by its mission to inspire individuals to engage with nature and promote conservation efforts through enjoyable recreational and educational experiences. From the Zoo to a myriad of recreational activities, Chehaw provides something for every visitor.

Phoebe Foundation

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is one of Georgia's six state-designated Perinatal Centers and the only hospital in the region devoted to sick newborns. In partnership with Children’s Miracle Network through Phoebe’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), they are able to come alongside families experiencing significant medical issues with their infant(s). As a Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Phoebe is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care and preventative education for children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. One of the unique aspects of the Children’s Miracle Network is that every penny raised locally stays right here in Southwest Georgia to help medical professionals treat our local children. Donations are used to fund what’s needed most, like critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, child life services that put kids’ and families’ minds at ease during difficult hospital stays, and financial assistance for families who could not otherwise afford these health services.
