What is Forests250?

While our forests have provided for the American people since time immemorial, the country’s 250th birthday offers a unique opportunity to engage a variety of communities, corporations, federal, tribal, state, local governments, academic institutions, K-12 educators, guidance counselors, students and families by exposing them to education and career opportunities, traditional and non-traditional forest products, as well as exposure to the storied history of forest management in this country, its evolution, and the impacts of that management on everyday Americans.

Who is Forests250?

Forests250 was conceived by the Society of American Foresters, in partnership with the National Forest Foundation and Arbor Day Foundation, and support from the U.S. Forest Service. Together these organizations, and partners like you, are engaging and educating the public about the ways forests, forest products, forestry and natural resources play pivotal roles in our everyday lives.

How you can get involved.
