Forged Mission Corps: Standing in the Gap When Disaster Strikes
When disaster strikes, help can’t wait. Even the best government response can take days to mobilize, leaving families vulnerable in their darkest hours. That’s where we step in.
Forge Ministries International, doing business as Forged Mission Corps, is a nonprofit built on lived experience — not theory. Our roots trace back to Hurricane Katrina, when members of our team lived in Louisiana and felt the devastation firsthand. Instead of waiting for help, we came together with friends and neighbors to clear debris, share supplies, and rebuild homes — all for free. That same spirit of resilience and community action drives us today to help others.

Who We Are
We train and deploy faith-driven volunteer teams to bridge the gap until professional agencies arrive. Every member of our leadership and volunteer base has seen disaster up close — whether in their own communities or standing beside neighbors in crisis.
Our mission is simple: equip everyday people to be ready when the call comes to respond effectively and help our communities when every second matters.
⸻
What We Do
• Volunteer Training: Preparing not only our own teams, but any volunteer group, including churches, civic groups, and local community organizations, in chainsaw and equipment safety, site assessment, debris clearing, ATV operations, and base-camp setup.
• Search & Rescue: Safely locating and assisting those trapped or cut off by disaster.
• Emergency Relief: Distributing food, clean water, clothing, and critical supplies.
• Shelter & Recovery: Setting up safe base camps and temporary housing when no services exist.
• Counseling & Care: Offering emotional, spiritual, and practical support to survivors.
⸻
Why We Exist
Because we’ve lived it. We know what it feels like to face devastation and lose everything — and we’ve seen how powerful it is when neighbors rise up together. Too often, disasters attract untrained volunteers with good intentions but no preparation. Without training, they can get hurt, lost, or overwhelmed.
Forged Mission Corps exists to close that gap. We give structure, skills, and support so compassion becomes effective action.
⸻
The Training Compound
We are building a disaster relief training compound — a setting that replicates post-disaster conditions so volunteer teams and outside partners can prepare together. Here, volunteers will practice operating safely while learning key skills as individuals and teams, coordinating response activities under controlled pressure.
This isn’t just about us — it’s about multiplying impact by equipping anyone willing to step into the gap. Together we can lead the world in community-driven disaster readiness — showing how ordinary people, when trained and equipped properly, can change the outcome of any crisis.
