About the Forsyth Farmers' Market

Forsyth Farmers' Market is a year-round, producer-centered market dedicated to building a sustainable and equitable food system for Coastal Georgia and the Low Country. Since its inception over 15 years ago, the market has provided high-quality, affordable, locally grown produce and farm products, supporting farmers and stimulating economic development by providing a business venue for small food producers. Importantly, the market also works to improve food access in underserved communities.

We accomplish our mission through the consistent, weekly operation of the Saturday Market in downtown Savannah and innovative programs like  the 912 Food Farmacy, and Youth Booth. These programs increase access to affordable, nutrient-dense food while fostering agricultural and nutrition education, promoting food-as-medicine initiatives, and encouraging active community engagement.

Our mission is to enhance food security, promote sustainability, and strengthen local economies, ensuring that healthy, fresh food is accessible to all. By fostering a deeper connection between local producers, consumers, and the community, we help build stronger, more resilient communities across Coastal Georgia and the Low Country.
