We are HOODSCHOOL NYC: an autonomous collective of community members, cultural workers and organizers rooted in the Black radical tradition and resistance. We host free skill shares, mutual aid distributions, political education, parties and events that build power. For liberation of The Hood Worldwide : from Congo to Harlem and till all the walls fall!

We created the For The Hood Fund so that no foundation board or politician decides who gets to eat and how. No grant cycle delays winter coats until spring. No report tells us our politics or programs go too far.

For The Hood is Solidarity: For Us, By Us. Every dollar goes directly to HOODSCHOOL's three core projects:

Skill Shares & Radical Education: From first aid, holistic health and self defense courses to Youth2Power, town halls and community led Freedom Schools.

Mutual Aid Infrastructure: Providing sustained direct support for mutual aid initiatives , grocery distributions, and emergency funds.

Cultural Organizing: Free radical parties, The People's Open Mic & Poetry Workshop Series and events that turn neighbors into organizers and creative interventions that build local connection and power.
