We need $325,000 to fully fund the 2026-2027 school year! 

 

School Staff (55%)

Retains staff for essential school classes, programs, and services, such as the School Nurse, Kindergarten Readiness Team, Elementary Reading Specialist, Middle School Drama, English Language Arts and Elective Teachers, Middle School Counselor, and Extracurricular Staff.

Scholarships and Equity Funding (22%)

Advances equal access and inclusive participation for all students and families in our school and community. Scholarships provided for Overnight Camps, Spring Enrichment Program (SEP), Field Trips, After-School Programs, Fall Connections, and Back-to-School Supplies. FOSB Racial Equity Fund supports proposals for community-driven equity efforts.

School Programs (13%)

Funds supplemental materials for school programs, such as Physical Education (PE) & Athletics, Middle School Exploratory Studies and Theater, Spring Enrichment Program (SEP), Where Everybody Belongs (WEB), Lantern Festival, Field Day, Graduations, Yearbooks.

FOSB Committees (10%)

Supports volunteer-led initiatives that connect our school and greater community together, such as All-School Events (Pizza on the Playground, Evening Lantern Festival, STEAM Fair, Pi(e) Night, Multicultural Celebration), Building Community Initiative (BCI) Grade-Level Events, Fundraising, Parent Information Exchange (PIE), Staff Appreciation, Sustainability, Traffic Safety, and Operations.

FOSB is also a member of the Central and North Seattle PTA Alliance (CANSSPA), the sister organization of the West Seattle Public Schools Equity Fund and Southeast Seattle Fundraising Alliance (SESSFA). Their mission is to advocate for all children in the Seattle Public School District to receive adequate and equitable education.
