Get your business in front of thousands of Southwest Colorado residents while helping create a more inclusive community! Festival of Trees & Wreaths is a free, family-friendly holiday tradition that brings joy to all—and supports vital services for people with disabilities right here in our region.

This year’s Durango-based event runs December 5–7, in person at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum and online for even broader reach! Guests will stroll through a magical forest of trees and wreaths decorated by local sponsors, vote for their favorites in the People's Choice Awards, play a fun scavenger hunt, and bid on dazzling decorations and gifts—all while supporting Community Connections and Our Own Lives, two nonprofits dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities thrive in Southwest Colorado.

Sponsoring the Festival gives your business high-visibility recognition across the region—both in person and online. You'll reach thousands of Polar Express visitors at the D&SNGRR Museum, plus online participants throughout November and December. Best of all, your tax-deductible donation helps people with disabilities live healthy, connected, and fulfilling lives in our community.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

• Pick an imaginative theme for your tree or wreath.
• Register using this online form by October 15th.
• Gather creative decorations and gifts to go on/under your tree or wreath.
• Provide us with your “gift list” by November 6th (we’ll email you a reminder). 
• Join us for a fun tree and wreath decorating party on November 10th or 11th!
• Help spread the word about the event and the online silent auction!
• Your tree or wreath will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, providing vital funds to support our mission!

DECORATING GUIDELINES

Please help us be respectful guests of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum by adhering to the following guidelines:

• Shatterproof ornaments are recommended.
• No flocking, tinsel, fake snow, loose glitter, confetti or other decorating items that are difficult to clean up.
• Gift cards and other small items of value will be collected and held by Community Connections for safekeeping until after the auction.
• Please refrain from using flashing, blinking or strobe lights, as these can trigger seizures.
• Characters or themes that conflict with the Polar Express brand cannot be used (for example: The Grinch, Rudolph, Frosty or Star Wars). More general themes like reindeer, snowmen, or outer space are great!
