Promise for Home

Family Promise of Mid Michigan's mission is Ending homelessness...one family at a time. We are an extremely cost-effective program that relies mainly on donated resources. Participating congregations provide hope, hospitality, and meals. Congregational volunteers serve, giving the gift of more than 11,000 hours of volunteer time per year.  Our goal is to provide support and structure through case management, which ensures a higher success rate in enabling the family to maintain independent living, take care of their families, and contribute back to the community. 

We focus heavily on preventing families from becoming homeless or diverting them to alternative shelter solutions if they have no home. We have successfully prevented 95 children in 38 families from becoming homeless and diverted 363 children in 157 families from entering shelter. We stabilized 383 children in 113 families by providing case management and basic needs support, which enabled those 113 parents to pay rent and keep their homes.
