Join us for an author talk and book signing with Andrea Freeman. The book "Skimmed: Breastfeeding, Race, and Injustice" examines the history and beliefs about breastfeeding, along with how law and policy have led to injustice in infant feeding. The book highlights the stories of four girls who represent a nationwide injustice and calls for structural reform to create better choices for infant feeding. JUST ADDED: Dr. Amaka Nnamani, author of Ziora's Quest: Mommy's MIlk Rocks will be joining the event as a special guest! Event Schedule: 1:30 PM EDT – Doors Open 2:00 PM EDT – Presentation Begins 3:30 PM EDT – Book Signing & Reception General admission is free, but please reserve your ticket as seating is limited!
