Let's Get the Carousel Spinning!

The Old Village of Union Historical Society proudly donated a rare 1917 Herschell Traveling Carousel to the Town of Vestal in memory of R. Ted Warner. As the only major municipality in Broome County without a carousel, Vestal embraced the vision – and soon will be home to the oldest and rare double-crown carousel in the area. Now, the Friends of the Vestal Carousel are fundraising to support its restoration, installation at Arnold Park, pavilion construction, and ongoing care.

We need your help to get the carousel spinning! Donations of any size are so appreciated and help us make the dream of a carousel in Vestal a reality for generations to come. Your contribution will help preserve history by restoring 36 hand-carved horses, two chariots, and gorgeous ornamental carousel murals.

Get your name or business name permanently inscribed in the carousel! A donation of just $100 will feature your name permanently inscribed on the carousel's knee wall.

Donations of $250, $500, $1,000, and $2,500 will be recognized on a donor plaque on the interior walls of the carousel.

Our not-for-profit status is pending with the IRS so we cannot offer tax deduction letters at this time. If you would like to make a larger donation, sponsor a horse, or would like to make a tax deductible donation, please email us to be contacted to donate once our status is finalized.

Cash donations can be made by emailing [email protected] to arrange a meetup.

Check donations can be made payable to Friends of the Vestal Carousel and mailed to address below or pick up arranged.
