Since 2014, Community Fruit Rescue has worked throughout Boulder County to care for urban fruit trees and rescue surplus fruit that would otherwise go to waste. Through thoughtful tree care, community harvests, and fruit preservation, we reduce food waste, minimize greenhouse gas emissions, support coexistence with local wildlife, build resilient communities, and increase equitable access to fresh, healthy, local food.

Thanks to supporters like you, we have harvested tens of thousands of pounds of fruit, organized hundreds of community harvests, engaged a growing network of volunteers, and expanded our fruit preservation efforts to ensure more of this local bounty can be enjoyed year-round. Instead of falling to the ground, rotting, and attracting wildlife, fruit is carefully tended, harvested, preserved, and donated to local families and partners in need.
