Fuel a Scholar

Start a recurring monthly gift of $10 or more during the month of February and a Cancer for College scholar will receive a $20 Starbucks gift card—generously donated by Starbucks—plus ongoing scholarship support for books, supplies, and other academic needs.

For many cancer survivors, the hardest part begins after treatment ends. With hospital visits behind them, students must juggle the lasting effects of cancer alongside classes, medical bills, and the pressure of building a future.

February includes World Cancer Day on February 4, a reminder to celebrate not only what survivors have overcome, but the futures they’re still fighting for. Fuel a Scholar supports them in these in-between moments, providing practical help and steady encouragement when it’s needed most.

A coffee during finals. A quick meal between classes. A small boost that says, “You’ve got this.” Your monthly gift creates real, everyday impact—helping survivors stay focused on earning their degrees and building lives beyond cancer.

Cancer for College provides financial support to the cancer community in the form of need-based college scholarships, educational experiences, and medical debt relief. The mission has been simple, if you are a cancer survivor with a household income of $150K or less and attending an accredited college, university or trade school, you can apply for help.

Since 1993, Cancer for College has awarded over $9M in support to over 2,100 cancer survivors from across the United States.
