At BELOVED, the women in our program use SNAP benefits to purchase groceries and maintain the dignity of choosing what they eat. Our organization also budgets for groceries each year to support women when those benefits are delayed, unavailable, or when someone new joins the program and is waiting for approval.

But this fall brought an unexpected challenge. For November and likely beyond, every woman in our residential program will lose access to their SNAP benefits. This means BELOVED must now provide groceries for all women living in our homes — as well as support for women in our community program, including three mothers with children.

While our grocery fund is designed to fill short-term gaps, this level of need stretches far beyond what we planned for.

To meet this moment, we’re raising $9,000 to ensure every woman and child has access to healthy food for the next three months.

At BELOVED, meals mean more than nourishment. They represent stability, belonging, and the healing that happens when women gather around the table.
