Contribute to the Pomeranian-focused fund (fundaranian) that helps give money to rescues in the form of pledges and medical fund contributions so that individual dogs can be pulled from overcrowded shelters where they are at imminent risk of euthanasia for space or lack of ability for medical intervention. By pooling/crowdsourcing money for pledges, together we can help directly increase the impact on individual animals and the rescues that step up!
How pledges work:
Reputable rescues are incentivized to pull individual dogs through “pledges” of small monetary support to make rescues from overcrowded shelters possible. Volunteers at the shelters, where these dogs are at risk, help bring attention to high-need dogs and assist with evaluating adoptability and verifying the reputability of rescues who are pulling these dogs when pledges are made. Once confirmed that a dog is pulled from the shelter, pledges are honored by donating the money directly to the rescue.
Did you know that you can also make pledges on your own?! Join a local breed or location-specific networking group where you will see dogs and other animals in need of a shelter exit. Email or message Kezia if you need any help with this!
Zero’s Story:
Zero was seen and saved by a rescue in California. In agreement with My Way Home Dog Rescue in Oregon and a confirmed foster (me!), Zero, with a very broken leg was able to narrowly avoid euthanasia, and to be moved up North for medical care (amputation). Pledges directly make rescues like Zero's possible. He found his forever home as a “foster fail" and we couldn't be more grateful.
