One of the main reasons I joined LeagueApps is FundPlay's mission. Through the newly formed FundPlay Foundation, we provide operational capacity to youth sports nonprofit organizations in underserved communities, ensuring more kids have access to amazing sports experiences. As a member of the FundPlay Committee, I have seen first-hand how much it impacts and means to these nonprofits and the families they serve. 

For this year, our goal with this FundPlay Drive event is to raise $200,000. The first $50,000 will go towards building two play spaces in Inglewood, CA. The remainder will be allocated to the FundPlay Foundation to provide further grants throughout the year.

Residents in Inglewood have limited access to recreational spaces compared to their Los Angeles County neighbors, and the best performing cities and communities have more than 60x the available recreation space compared to Inglewood. Additionally, in Los Angeles County 1 of 3 adults said there were not enough opportunities for their children to play sports, and the rate was higher among lower-income households, according to a 2022 survey by the LA84 Foundation.
