Blake's Buddies!

October 7th, 2023 was the best day of our lives because we found out we were going to have a baby, our first child!! December 5th, 2023 we found out that baby was going to be a boy, and we already had his name picked out, Blake Edward! We were absolutely thrilled to welcome this perfect little boy in June. Then, January 29th, 2024 at our 20-week scan we were told Blake had an extremely rare heart defect. Of all heart defects his was about 1 in 500,000 to 1 in a million. He was the first case of this specific heart defect in all of Ohio. 

Blake Edward Kaminski arrived on March 24th, 2024 at 4:34pm completely at peace. He is the most beautiful baby we have ever seen, he had Matt's nose and my mouth. His heart gave all that it had, but it could no longer keep up and that was sadly what took him away from us. 

The Cuddle Cot allowed us and our families to spend the time we so desperately needed with Blake. It allowed us to hold him, tell him some of our favorite stories, show him pictures, and allowed him to meet his aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Every year on Blake's birthday we plan to donate a Cuddle Cot so no family ever has to go without this special time. 

We know Blake is here with us every single day and there isn't a minute that goes by that we don't think of him. We love you SO very much, Blake, and we will be reunited someday!
