Funds for Families

Because Every Family Matters:

As we move into spring, we are launching our Funds for Families campaign so that we can continue meeting the real, everyday needs of the families who call on us for help.

What Is "Funds for Families"? While many parts of our ministry rely on donated items, Funds for Families exists for the needs that cannot be met with physical goods alone.

Every family we serve has a unique story, but the cost of walking alongside a family-from basic household items to essential service assistance-requires financial resources that go far beyond what donated goods alone can provide. On average, it costs about $51 to support an individual through the Love INC process.

That $51 represents far more than a single transaction. It includes the face-to-face conversations, the dozens of follow-up phone calls to churches, agencies, and the family requesting help, and even the fuel it takes for our Love INC truck to deliver household items right to their door. All of these steps are part of the relational model that makes Love INC unique.

On any given week, our volunteers and staff may speak with 10-15 neighbors in need, and our delivery team may bring household items to 3-5 homes. If we take a modest average of 10 individuals a week, multiplied by the $51 cost per individual, that's $510 in one day invested in caring for our neighbors with dignity and compassion.

This is why volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Their willingness to show up, listen, pray, encourage, and serve is what makes it possible for Love INC to operate as a Christian, volunteer-based ministry. Their time and dedication reduce costs dramatically and allow us to steward resources wisely while keeping relationships, not transactions, at the center.

Our volunteers and staff devote countless hours to each request and visiting with families, listening to their stories, praying with them, making phone calls, reviewing, and validating documents, and so much more. Every day, we work to respond with urgency, compassion, and dignity to every person who calls, walks through our doors, or welcomes us into their home.

Families continue to face rising costs, unexpected crises, and financial strain that threatens their stability. We are building relationships through our Home Visits, Furniture Ministry, Linen/Bedding Ministry, Food Pantries, Hygiene Ministry, Cleaning Supply Ministry, Diaper Ministry, Underwear/Socks Ministry, Kitchen Supply Ministry, Coat Closet and many face-to-face meetings with people in need.

With your help, we are able to continue meeting real needs with real care. Funds for Families allows us to support more families at the average cost per household, provide essential services through our Gap Ministries and offer the kind of one-on-one assistance that helps people feel seen, heard, and supported.

This is not simply about raising additional funds, it is about keeping our promise to walk alongside families with consistency, compassion, and Christ-centered care. Every contribution to Funds for Families directly impacts a household in our community. Your generosity ensures that families have a loving, compassionate, God-honoring person to turn to and someone who will listen to their story and help them take the next step forward.

Love INC volunteers from our local churches have made a beautiful commitment: to sit with families, pray with them, and help them discover practical solutions that can improve their lives. Their willingness to show up, to care, and to serve is at the heart of why this ministry can continue meeting needs every day.
