Join North Bergen Purr for an evening of reflection and remembrance as we honor the pets who forever touched our lives. Whether your beloved companion passed recently or many years ago, this gathering is a comforting space to celebrate their love and legacy.

🕯 Candle-Lighting Ceremony

Each tribute candle represents a cherished pet and the light they brought into the world. You may join us in Washington Park for the live candle-lighting, or take part entirely virtually—we will light a candle on your behalf and read your pet’s name during the ceremony.

🐾 How to Participate

Choose from two tribute options (candle only, or candle + photo).

With either option, you may:

Light a candle in your pet’s memory
Share their name and story
Upload an optional photo for inclusion in our virtual memorial tribute
Participate in person or virtually from anywhere

All donations help fund our TNR (Trap–Neuter–Return) program. Thanks to the United Spay Alliance Community Cats Matching Grant, every contribution is matched dollar-for-dollar, enabling us to help twice as many Hudson County community cats.

Can I participate even if I can’t attend in person?

Yes! This event is fully virtual-friendly. Simply submit your candle tribute and we will light a candle and read your pet’s name during the ceremony.

Where does my donation go?

Every tribute directly supports North Bergen Purr’s TNR work. Because of the United Spay Alliance Matching Grant, your gift is doubled.

Can I submit multiple pets?

Absolutely — please purchase one tribute per pet so each can be honored with their own candle.
