In 2023, our founders Virgil and Tabby Phillips spent six months serving at a school in South Asia, where they discovered a pressing need for a safe outdoor play area. Despite the field turning muddy when it rained, the children continued to play on it at every opportunity. This inspired Virgil and Tabby to take action. They returned home determined to raise funds for a futsal—a 70x130-foot raised soccer field enclosed by nets and lit overhead.

The futsal would serve three vital purposes:

1. Provide a Quality Play Area: The futsal will give the students a safe, weather-resistant space to be active, offering a better alternative to the current muddy field. It will also provide a new recreational option in a town with limited activities for young people.

2. Generate Income for the School: The futsal will be open to the community, creating a steady income stream for the school, which is 90% donor-supported, with over 80% of students on scholarship. This revenue will help sustain the school's vital work.

3. Build a Christ-Centered Community: Most importantly, the futsal will be used as a place to build relationships with those in the school and in the village with the purpose of sharing the Gospel, praying for one another, and creating a Christ-centered community. We believe this futsal will help us reach people that we wouldn’t typically be able to reach outside of the school.

Our goal is to start building in early 2025. To bring this vision to life, we need to raise $30,000. We trust God to provide and invite you to pray for this project and consider partnering with us in making it a reality.
