My name is Reyna, and I’m a freshman at Princeton. Since October 7th, I’ve worked with Jewish Princeton students to set up an aid-delivery system called Uplift Israel. Every donation is tax-refundable and goes directly to Israelis in need. We’ve sent 215k to evacuated families, pregnant women, protective equipment, and small businesses in the South of Israel. Our ongoing focus is raising money for injured soldiers and pregnant women.

Last week, my cousin Yakir Wechter asked for support to purchase tactical gear for his unit. Yakir’s reserve unit of Golani veterans served two months in Israel’s North. After a short break at home, they returned for two additional months in the North. They were meant to come home for good, but two days before their release they were informed that they’d be entering Gaza soon. Next week they’ll train, and then enter Gaza for two months.

The unit of 25 soldiers is preparing for a round of heavy fighting and they are seeking equipment that will support them. They need 25 sturdy backpacks and a specialized thermal drone which together cost $16,000.
