Join the Neighborkind Collective (including Franconia United Methodist Church and the Kingstowne Communion) in our collaborative "New House, New Home" Spring 2025 fundraising campaign, supporting the work of New Hope Housing and aiming specifically to resource our neighbors transitioning from homelessness to housing by stocking and outfitting their apartments with the initial essentials.

Transitional Housing Essentials

These transitional housing essentials (as directed by New Hope Housing and offered online here) include but are not limited to and are accepted only in new or unused condition:

raised air mattresses
sheets
pillows
comforters
trash cans
towels
shower curtains
pots
pans
dinnerware
glasses
utensils
basic cleaning supplies

Please donate towards the items by giving here or directly (and clearly designated) the Kingstowne Communion or Franconia UMC.

Cost & Goal

It is estimated that it costs about $300 to initially and minimally stock/outfit an apartment in preparation for a transition; and it's our Neighborkind Collective goal to fully supply at least 10 new transitional housing residences for those currently experiencing poverty and are supported and empowered by New Hope Housing's assistance, programs, and efforts to end homelessness in our area.
