My name is Jarell Whitehead, founder of Strong-Minded Mentoring, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young men who face adversity by equipping them with essential life and job skills. Through interactive workshops, hands-on activities, mentorship, and community engagement, we help develop confident, disciplined, and responsible young men ready to thrive in school, work, and life.

👨‍👦 Father & Son Day Events

We host three special Father & Son events annually to strengthen family bonds, foster trust, and promote healthy male role models in the lives of our mentees.

👟 Back-to-School Shoes for Mentees

We believe confidence starts from the ground up. Each of our mentees will receive a brand-new pair of back-to-school shoes to help them walk into the new school year with pride and purpose.

📘 Workshops and Tutoring

Including:

Financial Literacy: Budgeting, saving, investing, and responsible money habits.
Life Skills: Resume building, interview prep, effective communication, and goal setting.
Academic Tutoring: Support in key subjects to ensure mentees stay on track.

👨‍👩‍🏫 Parent Academy Workshops

We engage parents and guardians through workshops focused on parenting strategies, mental health support, and building a stronger home environment that supports youth success.

🎓 Scholarships for Graduating Seniors

We award $500 -$1000 scholarships to seniors who complete our program requirements, providing them with the financial support and motivation they need to continue their education or pursue career training.

🏈 Health & Wellness Through Athletics

Physical fitness and teamwork are vital. We offer structured sports programs and wellness education to help mentees develop discipline and mental well-being.

📦 General Program Needs

From notebooks and tech tools to healthy meals and transportation support, your donation ensures we can continue providing high-impact services where they’re needed most.
