I’m hiking to support my beloved profession of nursing! Women for Healthy Rural Living's Summit for a Cause is a unique fundraiser featuring a guided trip up Katahdin, the highest mountain in Maine. I am beyond honored to have been selected to raise money & awareness for the Elaine Hill Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund (EHMNS). This fundraiser for future nurses who are residents of Washington & Hancock Counties, Maine, not only fuels my desire for adventure but allows me to make a difference in a state that we love so much & visit frequently & where my son resides & also works in healthcare! I hope to provide other students who need assistance in reaching their goals of becoming registered nurses, as I once did, this opportunity to give back to their rural Maine communities by working together in the nursing profession to achieve healthier populations!
