Our story:

At GaitWay To Her Success, our Dream Maker program is what started it all. Watching the natural transformation that the barn assistants at Grit & Grace Ranch underwent, simply by working shifts at the barn, led us to create a structured program where we can use horsepower to empower.

The Dream Maker program is an equine facilitated learning program that teaches girls, ages 13-17, entrepreneurship, leadership, essential life skills, and strength of character. We use horsepower to empower the girls to literally-and figuratively-get back in the saddle after life setbacks. At GaitWay we provide horsemanship lessons, mentorship, and employment training through their work at a fully functioning horse ranch (Grit & Grace Ranch in Hillsboro, MO). The Dream Makers' work and interaction with the horses also teaches them essential life skills like confidence, discipline, work ethic, empathy, leadership, responsibility, dedication, teamwork, communication, perseverance, grit (which is the number one definer of lifelong success), and so much more.
