The event is family-friendly and open to players of any-skill level. Each team participating plays to raise money for a different cause; past teams have played for Akron Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society, The Giving Doll, The Mid-Atlantic Connection for PKU and Allied Disorders, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Wadsworth FISH, Donate Life Ohio, Wounded Warrior Project, and GFC’s Holiday Cheer program. The event is played in memory of Christine Garton, who passed away in 2018 after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Christine was a kind, generous person who embodied our core values of thinking of and helping others. She was also an excellent softball player and coach prior to her diagnosis of MS and loved the game. Weatherstone Park<br> Wadsworth, OH 44281, USA
