Gather & Give: Culturally Inclusive Food Drive

Many refugees and immigrants face challenges accessing culturally-appropriate foods. Standard food banks often don’t carry the ingredients and staples that reflect their traditions, making it difficult for families to put nourishing, familiar meals on the table.

Shalom Covenant Church is hosting the Gather & Give: Culturally Inclusive Food Drive to provide culturally-specific food boxes to refugee and immigrant families in need. We are accepting both monetary and food donations, though monetary gifts are most helpful they allow us to purchase exactly what families need and in the right quantities.

You can also donate gift cards to stores such as Walmart or ethnic-based markets, which help us source culturally appropriate foods like goat meat, beef roast, chicken legs, grains, and spices that reflect the diverse traditions of the families we serve.

By contributing, you help care for our neighbors and ensure every family can enjoy meals that feel like home, meals that nourish both body and spirit.
