Gaura Purnima 2021
Śrī Gaura-pūrṇima could easily be called our temple's most beloved festival. Gaura, also known as Caitanya Mahaprabhu (who is also known as Gauranga due to His golden complexion), appeared in Navadvipa on the full moon day to bring "the storehouse of love of God" to every living being. He comes to propagate the chanting of the holy names of the Lord. When Kåñëa appeared, He gave His orders, and when Kåñëa Himself appeared as a devotee, as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, He showed us the path by which to cross the ocean of Kali-yuga. That is the path of the Hare Krishna movement. When Sri Chaitanya Mahäprabhu appeared, He ushered in the era for the sankirtana movement. Offer a seva on this auspicious divine appearance of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
