Give Every Child A Chance proudly serves 4,518 youth annually across South San Joaquin County. In every community and school district, many students face academic challenges as they progress from grade to grade. Often, struggling students are promoted regardless of readiness — a practice known as "social promotion". When this happens, their difficulties multiply, frustration sets in, and confidence erodes.

Our programs are designed to support those who need it most. Every day, thousands of children in South San Joaquin County face barriers that make learning harder — poverty, homelessness, food insecurities, language challenges, and unstable home environments. These obstacles don't just affect grades; they impact confidence, motivation, and a child's belief in their own potential. Data from KidsData.org and DataQuest highlights the urgent need for programs like ours: youth in our county fall below the state average in meeting grade-level standards in math and language arts.

At Give Every Child A Chance, we are dedicated to breaking those barriers to success. With your support, we can provide free tutoring, mentorship, and a safe structured environment that give students the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.
