A New Chapter for Our Children

In January 2025, CACCMO opened its Columbia office with the support of a dedicated community advisory council and a determined staff. Our mission is simple yet vital: to reduce the effects of abuse through child-focused services, community education, and advocacy in a safe and healing space.

This year, we expect to serve hundreds of children and families across Adair, Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Macon, Randolph, and Shelby counties by:

Providing a Safe, Child-Centered Space – A welcoming, neutral environment where children can share their experiences without fear or intimidation.
Conducting Forensic Interviews – Specially trained professionals gather accurate, court-admissible testimony in a way that is sensitive to the child’s trauma.
Coordinating Services – Bringing together law enforcement, child protection, medical, mental health, and victim advocacy professionals to streamline support for each child.
Offering Healing Resources – Connecting children and families with counseling, medical care, and community programs to promote long-term recovery.
