Georgia Peach Maternity is Planting Roots: A Safe Home for First-Time Mothers in South Georgia 🌱 

Georgia ranks among the worst states in the country for maternal mortality — and Black mothers are dying at alarming rates, especially in rural areas like Liberty County and Pierce County.

We refuse to accept this as normal.

Georgia Peach Maternity Home is planting roots in Southern Georgia to provide first-time Black mothers with more than just shelter — we’re offering a lifeline.

Our mission is to create a safe, stable, and loving home where young mothers can rest, recover, and prepare for the journey of motherhood with dignity, support, and care.

We’re building a space where:

• 🌸 Housing is secure and healing
• 🤰🏾 Black motherhood is supported and celebrated 
• 🧺 Community and culture is cultivated

But we can’t do this alone.

• Acquire and renovate a safe, welcoming transitional home in rural Southern Georgia (we have interest in Liberty County and Pierce County)
• Provide wraparound services including prenatal/postnatal care, parenting education, and emotional wellness
• Supply basic needs like food, clothing, and baby items to mothers in crisis
• Launch a long-term support system for women and children in underserved communities
