Hello and welcome to our fundraising page! We are Empower Through Health (ETH), a diverse coalition of passionate and innovative individuals united by a shared vision for a more just world. We operate in rural Uganda to address health inequities that impact some of the world's most vulnerable communities.

Since establishing Mpunde Health Center in 2018, ETH has made remarkable progress. Through the unwavering commitment of our clinical team, ETH has touched over 57,000 lives to date. Our nurses, midwives, and clinical staff members allow ETH to offer affordable, world-class health services to those who otherwise would not have access. Before this clinic, rural villagers in our catchment area routinely faced many barriers, such as long travel distances, staff shortages, and frequent medicine stock-outs when trying to interface with Uganda's healthcare system. With your help, we have continued to work with local communities, government officials, and community health volunteers to fill this critical void, enabling our patients to receive treatments for malaria, malnutrition, and to safely deliver their children, along with many other vital services.

At the heart of our approach is a deep belief in community collaboration: we've fostered strong partnerships with over 100 local health volunteers, empowering them through both training and outreach initiatives. Our efforts go beyond immediate healthcare; over the past few years we have continually scaled up our educational and research initiatives, both to better understand the understudied patient populations we serve and because we believe that knowledge is a cornerstone of sustained health and well-being.

While our accomplishments so far fill us with pride, we firmly believe that we are just getting started. ETH has many exciting new projects in the works, and this fundraising campaign aims to expand our clinical services, welcome new staff members into the ETH family, and partner with educators to improve access to school for children. With your help, we will continue intensifying our efforts to dismantle the stark health inequities that still persist in our world.
