Help Restore the Gardiner Community Center

Greater Gardiner Community Council (GGCC) is ramping up to commence long-needed renovations to the one building that has been a bastion of our community for over 100 years: the historic Gardiner Opera House, later known as Eagles Hall, now known as the Gardiner Community Center.

GGCC has raised and invested over $350,000 into this treasured building to date, and we are ready to put an additional $700,000 of local and state grant funding and community contributions to work to move the restoration of this building forward, first with the reinforcement of the building's exterior walls and replacement of its roof. Given the current construction climate, and exaggerated cost of...well, everything, we still need more funding to accomplish the full stabilization phase of the project.

We are inviting you, our community members—past and present (and future)—to consider what Gardiner means to you. Consider supporting the rehabilitation of a building that has hosted weddings and funerals, concerts and plays, school and recreation, and served as a place to gather for the last century. Lastly, consider encouraging others to support this work by reaching out to your friend, business, and family networks.

Gifts of any size have an impact in keeping this community linchpin standing for another 100 years. We cannot thank you enough for your support!
