I'm honored to be running my first marathon this October 2025 supporting Girls in the Game in Chicago! Throughout the last 30 years, Girls in the Game has served over 65,000 girls through sports, health, and leadership programs.
That’s 30 years of introducing girls to new sports, 30 years of building leaders, and 30 years of increasing girls’ confidence.
That confidence has allowed girls to attend colleges across the US, rise to the ranks in the workplace, and become community leaders.
"The main skill I took away from being part of Girls in the Game was confidence. Being able to communicate and speak up for myself and put myself out there was a really big thing...We are teaching these young girls to be strong, healthy women, and that a girl can really have the power to change her life and make an impact in her community." -Evelyn, a Girls in the Game alumna and current staff member
At Girls in the Game, participants gain confidence by trying new sports, knowing that it doesn’t matter if you are the best at something, so long as you try. Girls gain confidence by learning about valuable topics such as self-esteem, personal hygiene, and the importance of using one’s voice. Finally, as teens, girls build confidence and leadership skills by inspiring younger girls as coaches and preparing for what will come next after high school.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal of $1,500! A little bit goes a long way!!
Thank you for your support!
