The E. Giovanni Torres Foundation will be founded by the Torres family, in honor of departed husband, father, son, brother and public servant, Giovanni Torres. This foundation will be mission driven to provide scholarships to men of color in Massachusetts pursuing all public advocacy related majors.

Gio was born in New York City, raised in South Florida, and moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts in 2012. He attended Miramar Highschool and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Sociology & Hospitality and a BBA in Business Management. He obtained his MBA in 2021 from Fitchburg State University in Business Management.
Gio dedicated his professional life to serving underprivileged populations like the homeless, at-risk youth & elderly/disabled. Most recently, he became the Division Director of Day Habilitation & Family Supports for The Arc Opportunity in Fitchburg, MA.
Gio was a loud and proud Gator Alum, and a Lamdba Theta Phi latin brother and was very passionate about human rights and advocacy. Please support us in fundraising to register this foundation and provide a stepping stool to organize our first scholarships.
