The stress and uncertainty of the continuing pandemic has made it harder for domestic violence survivors to get the help they need.

Many women survivors are struggling to get back on their feet but don’t have the confidence to move forward. The trauma and stress of domestic violence can be paralyzing.

The good news is you can help!

Will you please make a year-end gift by midnight, December 31st to help the next woman know that she is not alone, is worthy and valuable?

Your gift will help by paving the way for her to attend the Leap to Confidence program online. Even though she is at home, she will be with women just like her. Over six weeks she will learn empowering skills and receive immeasurable, life changing encouragement and support.

After she graduates, she will receive ongoing weekly support from the Empowerment Circle group. She will form invaluable friendships and be part of a sisterhood of women who see the best in each other and help each other solve problems.

This year more than 100 women received this support and attended an average of 11 times for over 1,100 visits. Many said these meeting became their lifeline during the pandemic.

Since the pandemic made our in-person classes impossible, we quickly adapted our programs to online. We were skeptical at first. Could we have the same kind of impact we did in person?

The answer is YES we can!

When a woman graduates from Leap to Confidence she is optimistic and hopeful. She is motivated to find employment. It’s hard to comprehend that she is the same woman who only weeks before was alone and hopeless.

Meaghan, a recent graduate, says, “I believe in myself. I let go of negative self-talk. I no longer live in fear and I am confident! I also got offered a position in the field I wanted. This class gave me the confidence to nail the interviews!”

It is urgent that you give before the end of the year. If a woman who is hurting doesn’t receive the help she needs in time, pain and isolation will continue and only get worse. She can stay trapped in destructive cycles of abuse. We don’t want that to happen, and neither do you.
