As the year comes to an end, please consider granting your tax-deductible financial support to Noisebridge
Do you remember your first time at Noisebridge?
Maybe you ducked under the half-open garage door on Capp Street, followed the smell of laser singed wood past the game area and walked into a giant room with a dozen conversations going on at once.
Or climbed the stairs at that building on Mission, wondering about the noise coming from the empty elevator shaft, but glad to get buzzed into what looked like barely planned chaos.
Or maybe you are one of our OG members, with memories of laughing, sharing and collaborating around a living room that smelled of pizza, cheap beer and worse!
Sixteen years ago, who would have thought that Noisebridge would survive to become the beloved, internationally recognized, and unique institution it is today!
We are and have always been a community of people joined by hopes, drive and insight. Here are a few stories from Noisebridge today:
From AJ: “I am Noisebridge! I only came here for the first time last week but I came back to the Tuesday meeting to join. I am new but can see how inspiring this place is. I want to be part of it.”
From .CLI: “I hopped in and out of Noisebridge in ~2017 and ~2024. Things haven't exactly been easy anywhere in the world in the last few years. But visiting Noisebridge reminds me that good things are possible, as long as we are willing to be excellent to each other.”
From Micheal: “I have been coming to Noisebridge since before we had a building! Any building! We would meet at Muddy Waters over on Valencia, near 16th. At that time I had just moved from Bay View to the north edge of the Mission, I wanted to be in the mix of things and there was Noisebridge, in the center of it all.”
From Elle: “Yeah, I am Noisebridge! I came in here more than a year ago looking for fellow writers, fabric artists and collaborators. I found them, but so much more. This space is full of generous souls and high-end gadgets and tools hard to get to anywhere else. It has its dangers: things do get stolen sometimes, odd characters walk the halls and there can be more drama than necessary, but it is so worth it! I am most active in the Sewing guild but have been involved in Spacebridge, where, as citizen scientists, we have grazed the upper edges of the atmosphere. Some Fridays, I hang with the DnD folks, listening to stories spinning out into the ether with music from the music room and the sound of woodworking up from downstairs.”
To continue, Noisebridge needs your tax deductible financial support. Whether $100, 300, $1000 or more. Once a year or once a month.
