FOOD FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Patachou Foundation’s Food Fellowship is a paid, workforce development and employment program for high schoolers that will, through food-related lessons, opportunities, and experiences, instill transferable skills to break the cycle of poverty and hunger for young people.

PATH TO A CULINARY CAREER

Fellows work closely with our culinary team to learn knife and kitchen safety skills, complete their ServSafe Certification (a must-have in the culinary world), hospitality and customer service experience, and college and career-readiness support from our Fellowship staff.

You can help! To ensure our next class of Food Fellows has safety and kitchen equipment to practice their culinary skills, we're raising $10,000.

WHO WE ARE

The Patachou Foundation envisions an equitable food system for youth in Indianapolis. In our work, we address the immediate needs of the kids we serve by providing thousands of scratch-made meals each week. To address the systemic issues and root causes of poverty and hunger in our city (ranked worst in the nation for food access) we also provide hands-on educational opportunities to learn about food, farming, and self-sustainability.
