Founded in 1956, Pawnee Mental Health Services is a private, nonprofit, licensed Community Mental Health Center (CMHC), licensed alcohol and drug treatment center, and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)—one of 26 in the state of Kansas. Pawnee provides a full range of psychotherapy, crisis, medication management, and substance use recovery services to nearly 7,000 adults, adolescents, and children each year throughout ten north central Kansas counties. Pawnee is the only provider in our service area that welcomes anyone in need of behavioral health services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year—regardless of their insurance, status as a client, or ability to pay.
