About Texas TicKids: We connect underserved youth with access to live arts, sports, and cultural events through partnerships with local nonprofits.

These events do more than entertain. They support children’s social-emotional development, expose them to potential career paths, and provide much-needed relief from daily challenges.

Why This Matters — As We Close Our First Year

As Texas TicKids closes its first full year, we’ve already connected more than 1,700 children and families with live arts, sports, and cultural experiences across North Texas.

For many of the kids we serve, these moments represent firsts — first time in a theater, first time inside a major sports arena, first time feeling included in something bigger than their daily circumstances.

Over the past year, families have shared stories that continue to shape our work:

• A child experiencing live performance for the first time and talking about it for weeks afterward
• A teen who gained confidence after attending a professional sports game with a mentor
• Families navigating illness, foster care, or housing instability finding moments of connection and relief

These experiences don’t end when the event does. They influence how youth see their future.

2025 proved this model works and the need is big - it's time to hire staff and reach more youth.

Year-end gifts ensure Texas TicKids can sustain and grow this impact, strengthen partnerships, and enter 2026 ready to expand access for even more children.
