This Giving Tuesday, join Pacific Island Knowledge 2 Action Resources (PIK2AR) in raising $8,000 to support our culturally relevant programs, education, and community-powered initiatives. Your contribution helps us continue to empower Pacific Islanders and diverse communities across Utah.

Join Us for Our Giving Tuesday Telethon!

• In Person: Stop by at Kai Po SLC 1465 S State Street #14, Salt Lake City, Utah
• Online: Tune in for our 8-hour Telethon featuring:
  • Stories of impact and community transformation
  • Cultural performances and highlights
  • Opportunities to engage and make a difference

Together, we’ll celebrate the community we serve and raise the funds needed to sustain and expand our work.

Your Impact

Here’s how your donation helps us:

• Food Security:

  • Supporting 450 families bi-weekly through the Cannon Food Bank.
  • Feeding 200 unsheltered individuals monthly through our Breaking Bread Initiative, which also connects individuals to vital resources like clothing, harm reduction supplies, health testing, and personal connection.

• Peer Support Groups:

  • Weekly groups for women and men, including one group inside Utah State Prison, offering resources, skill-building, and connections to foster healing and healthy relationships.

• Community Health Workers:

  • Providing no-barrier case management and health education for housing, domestic violence, sexual assault, and immigration needs, ensuring no one is turned away.

• Job Creation and Leadership Development:

  • Hiring from the communities we serve, fostering capacity building, leadership opportunities, and ensuring PIK2AR remains Community Powered.

• Culturally Relevant Education:

  • Delivering trauma-informed curriculums we’ve developed, including:
    • Violence Prevention
    • Financial Literacy
    • Plus additional education modules tailored to the needs of the communities we serve.

• Cultural Preservation & Unity:

  • Hosting the Utah Pacific Island Heritage Month Kickoff, uniting communities and celebrating the contributions of Pacific Islanders.
