On this global day of giving, millions of people will join the #GivingTuesday movement to unleash the power of radical generosity. At Alongside Families, we are praying that today has a major impact on vulnerable families in Charlotte.

Last week, we connected with a mom, Makayla, whose three children were hosted by Alongside Families almost three years ago when she was experiencing homelessness. With joy in her eyes, she shared that she now has a full-time job with benefits for the first time in her life.

Life is still challenging, but Makayla continues to stay plugged in to our Alongside Families family. For three years now she has had caring community "doing life" with her and her kids!

God has placed on our heart the prayer to double the number of families that we are able to serve in 2023. That will require that we add a church engagement staff member to our team to mobilize, train, and equip new partner churches and volunteers to. The full amount needed for this position is $25,000.
