Giving Tuesday: Home For The Holidays

Make a difference in the lives of people experiencing extreme poverty and homelessness by giving the gift of a home this holiday season!

We're trying to reach our goal of raising $5,000 today to help with rent, utilities, application fees, and security deposits. That would give us the funds to help 25 families as they seek to stay in or move into their homes. But we can't do that without YOU!!

Today is Giving Tuesday. A day set aside to bring special attention to generosity for those in need. As the Thanksgiving holiday offers us a chance to be grateful for all that we have, it can also remind us that we have more than enough and that we have the opportunity to give to those who don't. Every act of generosity makes a difference in the lives of our guests who are struggling with poverty and homelessness.

- A $50 gift covers an application fee to help someone find a place to live.

- A $100 gift helps prevent a utility shutoff.

- A $250 gift helps allay the costs of rent when a person is on the edge of eviction.

- A $500 gift provides a security deposit to help a person get a leg up to move into a new home.
