So far this year through 8/31/23, The Food Brigade has helped feed over 48,000 New Jersey residents dealing with food insecurity, including 16,000 children.

The Food Brigade is a registered 501(c)(3) hunger-relief charity in New Jersey, which currently operates 3 food distribution centers serving residents of Bergen, Hudson, Passaic, and Essex Counties. We were chosen as "Best Nonprofit Organization" of 2023 by the readers of 201 Magazine.

The Food Brigade is a partner agency of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey (the largest food bank in the state), Table to Table (the largest food-rescue organization in the state), and Feed the Children (the international hunger-relief organization). We are a Local Distribution Agency (LDA) of USDA food through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), and of NJDA food through the State Food Purchase Program.
