WHAT IS FLOURISH?

Flourish is a non-profit serving teen girls from under-resourced communities in Mobile & Baldwin County, AL. We offer a free community space in Daphne, Alabama for teen girls ages 13-18 to attend for workshops, life skills training and mentorship. 

WHY CREATE A COMPUTER PROGRAM?

Did you know that 74% of adults ages 16-65 use a computer at work? It’s important that we are equipping teens today how to use computer programs, typing skills digital media and more to be digitally literate for future careers and furthered education.

“In 1995, 37% of computer scientists were women. Today, it’s only 24%. The percent will continue to decline if we do nothing. We know that the biggest drop off of girls in computer science is between the ages of 13 and 17.”- Girls Who Code

Our goal at Flourish for 2022 is to offer coding classes, digital media workshops and basic computer literacy programs. Join us on our venture by supporting our campaign on November 30th!
