Every day across North Jersey, HS&H Outreach Services meets people who are doing everything “right” but still find themselves without stable housing, access to benefits, or the basic tools required to rebuild their lives. Many are aging out of the workforce or living with disabilities that limit consistent income. Others are over-employed yet still unhoused. For all of them, stability begins with dignity—and dignity begins with access.

In the past three years, HS&H has helped more than 100 individuals secure sustainable housing while providing hands-on assistance with vital documents, medical insurance, food access, and supportive services. Our work is direct, human, and deeply local. And right now, we need your help to close our 2026 funding gap so we can keep doing what North Jersey depends on us for.

Why We’re Fundraising Now

As our community’s needs grow, our operations must grow with them. Your contribution helps cover the gap needed to:

1. Continue Serving Residents at or Below the Poverty Line

Your support sustains:

Emergency housing and landlord partnerships
Food access for seniors and medically fragile clients
Document retrieval: birth certificates, state IDs, Social Security cards
Medicare/Medicaid navigation and reinstatement
On-the-ground support for individuals rebuilding their stability

These services are the first step in helping our neighbors reclaim dignity, health, and independence.

2. Expand Operations in 2026

We are preparing to expand our footprint across Paterson, Newark, and nearby counties through:

Increased street outreach and event activations
More case managers on the ground
Additional transportation routes to connect clients to services
Strengthened partnerships with hospitals, universities, sports teams, and local agencies
Greater visibility campaigns to attract resources directly to North Jersey’s most vulnerable

This growth requires sustained funding—and this campaign helps bridge the gap.
