Night of the Living Drag: The Graveyard Smash (Oct. 5th)

And don't forget cash tips to throw their way!! (There will be 12 solo performers and a group number at the end, so budget your tips accordingly!) Saturday, October 5th, 2024 (Hosted by Stella Stration) Doors at 6:30pm NO ENTRY AFTER 7:30PM FREE EVENT!! (Cash tips are encouraged for performers) MASKED REQUIRED (Must be high filtration/No surgical or cloth masks!) 18+ - - - - - PRESHOW ACTIVITIES (6:30 – 7:20 PM): Mix and mingle make new friends at our pre-show booths! - Garden “Photo Booth” Scavenger Hunt: We’re grateful to have the Botanical Garden as our “photo-booth”! There will be list of garden “backdrops”. Walk around the garden, see if you can find them, & snap a photo! Feel free to share & tag us on insta @ eastside_diy_drag! (Note: Doors and booths open at 6:30 PM, but the garden is accessible all day. Feel free to arrive early to enjoy “golden hour” lighting at 6:00 PM, before we open). - PAB: Pride Across the Bridge (PAB) is our wonderful partner, and our shows are just one of their cool queer events that you can be a part of. Stop by their table to learn more about what they do, including hosting other events and providing free resources to the community. - Drag Ed.: Stop by to learn a little about drag history, drag culture, or find out more information about our drag cohorts! - Queers Who Craft: Sticker + bracelet making & trading! Bring a sticker and/or bracelet (or beads) to share/trade, or make one here! - Ghouls Who Game: Play games & make new friends! We’ll have a few quick games (spot-it, uno, incoherent). But feel free to bring one to share! (Games should suitable for larger groups and have short “rounds” so people can join as they please). - Dragitude Cards: We’ll have cards that will be given out to cast and crew after the show. Write a kind note or little doodle for them! (Coming to support a specific performer/ drag debut? There will be a card with their name! There will also be general cards to sign to be given to any cast/crew member.) - Community Table: Share business cards, “zines”, printable community resources, etc. Donate some masks or some trinkets! Anything donated to the community table is free for the taking! (No food/drink donations). OPTIONAL AUDIANCE PARTICIPATION! (7:30 PM) - Costume Runway: Dress to impress in your favorite costume and if you're feeling brave walk the runway as a part of our preshow parade! - Curse Object Show N Tell: Bring your silliest, “cursed” object to show n tell. You might even win a prize... - Noise Making Contest: A la “Rocky Horror Live” and “Dropout TV's Make Some Noise”, we're here to HEAR the audience's talents. - - - - - kn94/kn95+ MASKS REQUIRED AND ENFORCED! (No surgical or cloth masks!) Help take care of our performers who cannot wear masks while lipsyncing! Queer and trans people are impacted by much higher rates of disability and long covid. Take care of your community by wearing a KN95, KN94 or higher mask. We will have a small number of masks available at the door, but please remember to bring your own if you are able. Performers will rapid test on the day of the show and will be unmasked to lip sync. Performance is at Bellevue Botanical Garden (on the right when you come through main entrance to the gardens) , address provided with ticket confirmation. Venue is ADA wheelchair accessible, including ADA wheelchair accessible bathroom. An electric wheelchair charging station is available just inside the park's front entrance on the left. Show is seated, runway style. Seats are not reserved, they are first come, first serve. If you are seated in the front row, it is highly likely the performers will interact with you, the "splash zone", so to speak. If you are uncomfortable with this, please sit in the 2nd or 3rd row. Show will include spooky, sexual, serious emotional and campy elements. We've got it all! Please dress warmly! No strobes, no fog machine. No food or drinks will be available for purchase, or allowed inside the venue. Want to be a stage kitten, be in the next show, be an audience participant for the pre-show, have questions or requests for further accommodations, or something else entirely?
