Grow The Vote is a student-led civic education initiative bringing voter registration and election education directly into New Jersey high schools.

What started as a grassroots effort has already reached 55 high schools and helped roughly 1,600 students register to vote. Now, we’re working to expand that impact into a more structured statewide program.

A lot of students turn 18 without ever being shown how voting actually works. Not because they don’t care—but because no one ever takes the time to explain it clearly.

Grow The Vote fixes that by going into schools and breaking the process down in a way that actually makes sense.

What we do

We run in-school presentations that:

Walk students through how voter registration actually works
Break down what happens on Election Day step by step
Help first-time voters feel confident, not confused
Keep civic education simple and easy to follow

Where we’re headed

This campaign helps us bring the program to more high schools across New Jersey and build the structure needed to keep it running and growing.

How funds are used

Donations go toward:

Stipends for student presenters
Printing and classroom materials
Travel between schools
Basic program operations and coordination

Why it matters

People who vote the first time they’re eligible are far more likely to keep voting for life.

By reaching students before that first election, we can make sure more young people actually show up informed and ready.
