It is the mission of the Children's Advocacy Center Of Central Texas (CACCT) to provide hope, healing, and justice for abused children, so that every child grows and develops in a healthy environment free from abuse. We work tirelessly to create bright futures for children who have suffered from sexual abuse, physical abuse, and/or witnessed a violent crime.

In 2023, more than 2,000 children were confirmed victims of child abuse in Central Texas (Bell, Coryell, Milam Counties). These children need specialized services, starting with investigation and proceeding through rehabilitation. Our programs are designed to reduce the effects of trauma on these young children and ensure that collaborative investigation and recovery services are available for them.

Last year, CACCT served 944 children and coordinated over 8,400 services, including 699 forensic interviews to support justice, 2,463 advocacy services for families, and 2,221 mental health sessions to promote healing. Our center addresses a critical need in Bell, Coryell, and Milam counties, where child abuse remains a profound challenge. With Bell County having the eighth-highest number of confirmed cases in Texas, the need for community support has never been greater.
