This Giving Tuesday, join the G.W.C. Brown Legacy Education Fund in transforming DREAMS into REALITY for young men and their families in the Greater Hampton Roads region. Since 2011, we have proudly served our community with programs that provide scholarships, mentorship, and essential resources to empower the next generation of leaders.

Our scholarship program delivers targeted, customized awards to proven young scholars of limited means, equipping them with the financial support to achieve their educational goals. Additionally, through our Alpha Scholars Academy, part of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity’s "Go to High School, Go to College" initiative, we provide classroom instruction and mentorship that set young men on the path to academic and professional success.

But our impact goes even further:

Scout Reach Program: Hands-on STEM learning and mentoring for elementary students in collaboration with the Tidewater Council of Boy Scouts of America.
Back-to-School Supply Drive: This year, we provided 1,500 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to prepare students for success in the classroom.
Thanksgiving & Christmas Holiday Baskets: Supporting over 200 families annually with meals and holiday essentials to bring joy during the festive season.
Mentoring and Professional Development: Connecting young men with role models and mentors across various career fields to inspire and guide their future.
